The Bendigo Joss House Temple is open each Saturday and Sunday from 10:30am - 3:00pm.

Please note The Bendigo Joss House Temple is temporarily closed.

In recent months there have been a range of safety incidents at the Bendigo Joss House Temple which have resulted in our team members being subjected to verbal abuse and antisocial behaviour.

Unfortunately these incidents have meant that we have had to close the temple whilst we investigate what controls we can put in place to ensure the safety of our team. We will be working with a number of stakeholders to implement a range of controls. During this time, the Bendigo Joss House Temple will be closed until further notice.

We ask for your patience and understanding over the next few weeks whilst we work through this challenging issue.

Before visiting, please read our COVIDSafe conditions of entry here.

Entry to the temple is by donation.

Pre-book online to schedule your visit.

150 years

Opened in 1871, 2021 marked the 150th anniversary of the Bendigo Joss House Temple. The heritage-listed temple is significant as being one of the few remaining buildings of its type in Australia.
